Why Choose Us
Our Breeding Practices
-
AKC Registration
In the US, the preferred & most reputable pedigree & registration organization is the American Kennel Club (AKC). Any other registrations “organizations” will register dogs with unknown origins and create fake papers for them.
Continental Kennel Club (CKC), APR/APRI, ACA, etc registrations are not worth the paper they are printed on.
It is our commitment to you to place your new companion into your home, AKC papers in hand.
-
Health Tests
Our breeding dogs and the studs we use are Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) tested for hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis in hips and elbows, PennHip tested for DI and OA in hips & Embarked (genetically tested) for over 200+ genetic diseases.
It is always important to be aware of the potential health concerns that can occur in any purebred dog, and to work closely with your veterinarian to ensure the best possible care for your new companion. While these tests aren’t 100% fool proof, we feel that it’s better to be safe than sorry.
-
Veterinarian Examined
Our puppies get examined & vaccinated by a veterinarian before they leave us. They will get their first round of distemper/parvovirus (DA2PP) at the vet, and get dewormed as well.
Feed store vaccines can sometimes be unreliable, which is why our pups are vaccinated at the vet!
-
Nutrition
Great food , full of essential nutrients is important for keeping dogs as healthy as possible. We do not use dog food full of fillers and artificial dyes. We currently feed Purina Pro Plan and Science Diet to our pups, and have seen how it keeps their coats, joints, and tummies happy and healthy!
All of our puppies get sent to their new homes with a small bag of large breed puppy food.
